Josh Duhamel, Black Eyed Peas Raise Funds For Flooded ND Town
The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star spent Saturday in Minot, North Dakota at a benefit concert that he helped organize, headlined by the Black Eyed Peas. A soldout crowd of 12,000 paid for tickets priced at $100; those funds, Duhamel said, will go to a recovery fund to aid the rebuilding of homes after a flood that damaged more than four thousand houses and forced an estimated 11,000 to flee theirs.
The destruction hit Duhamel personally: His childhood home was damaged, as was the house where his sister and her family live. The actor met other victims and also visited a Red Cross shelter over the Labor Day weekend.
